Redge Martin is the President of Clars Auction Gallery in Oakland California, and member of the Eastbay Estate Planning Council, including two terms on the Board of Directors.
The presentation will cover current requirements for fair market, donation and insurance appraisals, locating appraisers and auctioneers, the different types of appraisals, the methods by which appraisers and auctioneers come up with valuations, how the auction process works for the seller, how the internet has transformed the industry, and what's hot and what's not in the auction world.
Clars Auction Gallery has been in the auction business since 1972. It is one of the largest auction houses in the Western United States and handles consignments from throughout the United States. For example, they are currently selling property from the four homes around the country of the billionaire Richard Mellon Scaife.
